Deo Gratias is the oldest photography studio still in operation in Accra. Founded in 1922 by J.K Bruce Vanderpuije.
He is one of the pioneers of photography in West Africa.
He was reputed to have documented diverse occasions during the colonial period.
Deo Gratias is a Latin word which simply means “Thanks Be To God”. It is located in British
Accra popularly knows as James Town.
